The Taste of the Nation event at the Tobacco Warehouse was a wonderful event. For everyone that missed it come next year. It's a beautiful setting, with great food, a
fashion show and a great time for all.


"Most of the fun transpired in the huge, main area, where a catwalk was erected centerstage. Midway through the evening, bootylicious models shook their bods in fashions by Big Girls United, designed for "thick and sexy ladies." Brooklyn Industries (with several locations in the borough, and two Fifth Avenue shops in Park Slope), Razor for men, and Serene Rose (who supplied garments by Shawn Christopher Kelley's "Christopher" label) contributed outfits for the runway."

Bigger sized shirts

As promised we've found several designers who design for bigger sized men. We have t-shirts, polo shirts and button-down shirts. We have from plain to ... not so plain. :-)

The Buckler's are in.

We have three lines of Buckler, a light wash, a dark wash and one with a brown, tanin wash. The light denim has some of the best baked in creases I've seen or felt and only slightly distressed. The dark wash has these big stitches along the top part of the side seams. The stitching is discreet enought to wear the denim to work. The denim with the brown wash is a beautiful pair of denim; great wash, slightly distressed, with great fit.

Antik and Tavartini Denim

We've reordered Antiks and should have 6 new styles fairly soon. We're also adding Tavartini denim to our collection. The Tavartini's will be the first of our raw denim styles.

1921s and Buffalos have come in

We have 3 new styles of 1921s in -- and a fourth, the one with the big stiching -- is coming soon. We ordered up to a size 38.

We also have a few new styles of Buffalos. I love the washes, perfect for the summer.

We don't have any narrow-legged denim yet (except, of course, for those Yanuks) but we should be getting our Bucklers by the end of the month and at least two styles will be narrow-legged.

T-shirts and polo shirts galore

We just got in a crazy amount of new t-shirts and polo shirts from 3rd Born, division E, vintage red, KRZNA, and revolution. Along with our existing styles from Buffalo, French Connection, and all the smaller designers we have a fair collection of styles. Most of the collection is designed with the slimmer individual in mind but some such as KRZNA (pronounced Krishna) are designed for larger framed men.

We're constantly looking for styles for the bigger guys. We will find Razor quality designs for you too.

Belt Buckles

We've received a lot of new belts and belt buckles over the last couple of days, (Bill Adler Design and Brave Leather). Also, for those who've been waiting for the size 36 and 38 brown "loop" belts -- they've finally arrived.

Small Antiks are going fast

If you're under a 32 waist come on by, we may be out of your size soon.

Brave Leather Belts

We have word from Brave Leather. Our order of belts should arrive the first week
of June. So many people have asked about the antique brown loop belts that I think
they'll go very quickly.

Kathy Seff Cufflinks

We have brand new collection of Kathy Seff Cufflinks. She redid more of those incredible white and gold herringbone print cufflinks. So stylish and works great in conservative settings, so hard to combine the two, but she pulled it off.

Three styles of Buffalo

We have three new styles of Buffalo by David Bitton and restocked several styles that were running low in the smaller styles. All three of the styles start at a 28 waist.

One of them has great back pocket stitching that is reminiscent of Antik Denim.

The Double Pocket Yanuks have come in

For those of you asking for the double pocket Yanuks, the reorder has arrived. We
ordered a full run from 29 to 38.

The Antiks have been delayed Again

And, unfortunately some of the funkier styles we ordered were not cut.

Bill Adler Design Belts and Belt Buckles

Belt and Belt buckle separates have arrived. We have 8 new styles of belts and
over 20 new styles of belt buckles.

Awesome new Yanuks

These are some of the best denim I've seen, an awesome dark wash, with a narrow
leg and double back pockets. They're not inexpensive but they look great.

The Latino Royalty Collection has arrived

Awesome belts, and a fun selection of button-downs and t-shirts.

The Antiks have been delayed

The delivery has been pushed back from March 30th to April 30th. Sorry to
disappoint everyone.

Denim Show

Black and gray denim looks ruled at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, with premium denim designers such as Antik, Yanuk and Taverniti sending models out in faded, whiskered and thrashed jeans accented with shiny hardware.

At nearly all shows, pockets showed up in unexpected places – down the thighs and at the back of the knees. Zippers popped up on back pockets, diagonally across front pockets and at the ankles.

Antik, known for its intricately stitched back-pocket designs, continues its hot denim status in L.A. and O.C. Bright, red plaid tops were mixed with mostly grayish denim.

Yanuk is trying to get a leg up on the massive denim market with an edgier and bleakly futuristic collection of soft gray denim and corseted, dresslike tops.

Up-and-comer Taverniti (by the son of Yanuk designer Ben Taverniti) offered up denim full of hardware touches and considerable stitchwork.

Latino Royalty

The Latino Royalty belts and bags ought to be in the store in two to three weeks. The one problem with their belts is that they are too wide to fit in most belt loops. It's a small price to pay for fashion. We should have more pictures soon, but for now here all the Latino Royalty photos.

Hyden Yoo Shirts

We have more Hyden Yoo fitted shirts. I can't believe it. We get a shipment yesterday and as we're unpacking them 2 get snatched up. These are great shirts, fun prints, and an excellent fit.

A great new collection by Latino Royalty

We just came back from the Latino Royalty showroom -- what a phenomenal collection they have, shirts, slacks, belts, bags, shoes. Tremendous. We're happy to say that we're going to start with their collection this spring. So, here's introducing Latino Royalty. I think you'll be pleased with what they have.

Saying good bye to the dress shirts

We've decided to stop carrying such an extensive collection of business dress shirts - we've been carrying between 50 and 75 different colors and styles. We're paring the collection down to the basics and making room for our growing collection of denim and styling casual shirts.

Woo-hoo Razor has sandals.

As you all know we've been thinking for a long time about carrying shoes and boots. Well, the day has arrived. Razor has a collection of summer sandals, we'll be bringing in shoes and boots in the fall. Thanks everyone for the feed-back, we hope you love the selection.

Spring Collection

The beginning of the spring collection is out. We've removed the winter items and brought out spring button-downs and t shirts. We have collections from 7 Diamonds, French Connection, PhB, Buffalo, divisionE, 3rd Born, French Connection, Ninety North, and XMI. We also have new spring slacks from Dulce de Leche.

Spring Collection is Out

We've brought out our spring collection. Not everything has arrived but we've put out spring blazers, slacks, button-down shirts and tees. More is coming soon. We're still waiting for our orders of Yanuk, Chip and Pepper and division E denim. And for those looking for lighter, brighter ties -- they've come in.

Timothy Kokott Hats have arrived

Timothy's spring hats have come in. He's also coming out with a line of tees and shorts in his own inimical style. We have a few samples in the store. And, as a result of popular demand, he will retool your old caps, tees and sweats and make magic out of them.

The Back Flap Yanuks Denim have come in

For all asking for the back-flap Yanuk denim, they've come in. We have them starting at 28. Unfortunately the full-order has not come in. Only two 28s and two 29s have arrived.

Striped and patterned dress shirts have arrived.

More shirts have arrived, great stripes and patterned button down shirts from XMI.

Wow, I can't believe the response to our new line of fitted dress shirts -- Fat Cop XXL by Hyden Yoo. We just had a new delivery so, if you're looking for size 14 to size 15 1/2 fitted dress shirts -- we have them.

White Buffalo Denim

Our spring line is coming in fast and furious. Some nice transitional track jackets with a retro look have arrived as have some white Denim from Buffalo.

Cuff links have come in

Cuff links have come in, including the light bulb cufflinks. We bought four and one is already gone! We have new coin cufflinks (mercury dime, buffalo nickel, Indian head penny, euro) and several mother of pearl.

Spring Hats

Great collection of spring hats made by local and up-and-coming designers just came in. A bunch of great looks.

Timothy Kokott Hats

Timothy Kokott has come back from vacation and is coming by with a new collection of hats for this spring. They're even funkier than last time. So, for you guys who like their hats plain and simple -- sorry, these ain't for you.

Slim-cut dress shirts

We have a new shirt designer - Hyden Yoo - who makes fitted dress shirts going for $75. Get them before he realizes that he is giving away his shirts and raises the price. They start at a 14 1/2 neck

The same dress shirts also come with hipster screen prints on them. Only good at a casual workplace but great for after work get togethers.

Leather bags have arrived

We received a new shipment of Razor leather bags: messenger, brief cases and some leather daypacks. They're well made and are excellently priced -- from $149 to $209.
